The AP reports that one of the anti-war groups planning to protest the convention is suing the city of St. Paul because they haven't yet been given a route.
The city has granted the group a permit, but the protesters are worried they'll be limited to a route that doesn't bring them within sight and sound of the Xcel Center. The convention will be held there September 1st.
First, I believe the police already promised the route protesters will be given will definitely be within sight and sound of the Xcel Energy Center.
Second, if this is the case, what does it matter if protesters don't know their projected routes yet?
Third, what a waste of the St. Paul poice department's time. I hope everything is dismissed and the Dept can go back to doing what it's supposed to do.
