The U.S. House votes tonight on an omnibus appropriations bill that includes $50 million for security for the Denver & St. Paul conventions. If the House passes it, the Senate takes a shot at it.

The difference between the bills? Funding for the war:

The House bill provides no funding for Iraq while the Senate version will likely add that after the House passes it.

If the Iraq funding is included in the Senate version, it would go back to the House for another vote. DeGette's spokesman, Chris Arend, said that vote is no guarantee for passage.

We'll see if it passes.
