Finance and Commerce has an interesting piece about business and the upcoming Republican National Convention. "More to Minnesota" has gathered about 370 Minnesota businesses to be apart of a program which will give visitors a discount on their services during the convention.

The More to Minnesota GOParty Card, which is free to businesses, offers discounts ranging from 10 percent to 25 percent between Aug. 23 and Sept. 7. The program’s extended time period is aimed at capturing customers (among the thousands of convention delegates, staff members, news media and others) both before and after the big event.

Convention-goers can use their card to get — among other discounts — 10 percent off Asian-influenced California cuisine at 20.21 Restaurant and bar at the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis, 20 percent off all merchandise at the Mall of America in Bloomington, 20 percent off one piece of artwork at Water and Oil Art Gallery in St. Paul or half-off summer lodging at Adventure North Resort in Walker.
