National Journal (the print edition) has a piece out about convention parties, the organizations throwing them, and the new interpretation of ethics rules passed last year, that allows them to happen a bit more freely. The piece highlights several Minnesota-based businesses and consulting companies that will be organizing parties on behalf of them.
One of those companies is a good friend of GOP Convention Report, GOP Convention Strategies. They are one of the two firms mentioned in the piece. Read the whole thing here.
To be sure, a national political convention is the place for schmoozing, lobbying and overall, partying. This year will be no different than years past, even if it does take us awhile to figure out who the nominee will be. The parties will go on!
