A group called the Christian Defense Coalition is planning on surrounding the Pepsi Center in Denver during the Democratic National Convention, laying roses on the ground, and praying and speaking about the need for Democrats to change their mind on abortion.

Interestingly, the article was written now because an agreement had just been reached between the group and the city's police. Like groups here, the Coalition had not yet received their permits. Police told them proceedings for that would begin in March.

While I'm certainly pro-life, I'm disappointed this group--the Christian Defense Coalition--would not only waste their time complaining about a lack of permit, but are planning to waste their time protesting at all, laying roses on the floor, and having people speak about abortion.

I've written about this before. While marches and rallies have their place and can, occasionally, be effective in changing minds. I don't believe it's the best way.
