After winning primaries yesterday in Rhode Island, Vermont, Ohio and Texas Senator John McCain has the 1,191 delegates necessary to win the Republican nomination for president at the GOP convention in St. Paul this fall.  Shortly after his wins Mike Huckabee conceded the nomination clearing the path for McCain's campaign.  The first stop for McCain today will be the White House where he will receive the official endorsement of President Bush.

The Democrats continue to battle on with Hillary winning in Texas, Ohio and Rhode Island and Obama wining in Vermont.  This is good news for the Republican Party because it will mean the Democrats will continue to battle it out, spending millions in the process while McCain will be able to bank his fundraising dollars and prepare for the November election.
