Last week the Democratic National Convention Committee sent out a press release that eagerly proclaimed:

In keeping with the DNCC's commitment to making this the most sustainably-produced political Convention in history, the DNCC will be working closely with GM to select a fleet of vehicles designed to maximize fuel efficiencies and take advantage of new flex fuel and hybrid vehicle technologies.

Right now on their blog, the DNCC has a post up about their convntion CEO, Leah Daughtry travelling around--and now outside--Colorado for their PR-creating, "Colorado Conversations:"

Leah Daughtry has logged a lot of miles throughout the state of Colorado as she’s teamed up with Democratic leaders to engage Colorado residents and activists in a dialogue about the 2008 Democratic National Convention. On Wednesday, January 9th, the DNCC will take the “Convention Conversations” series over the Colorado state line for the first time. Leah is teaming up with Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid for a community forum in Las Vegas — and we want you there.

I sure hope she's driving a hybrid. Otherwise, you know, their intentions to go green might turn out to be more of a myth than a reality.
