Now that the chances of a brokered GOP convention have gone by the wayside and John McCain is the likely the media who used to adore McCain are now turning on him. Yesterday the New York Times ran a story that alleges John McCain had an inappropiate relationship with lobbyist Vicki Iseman around the time of his first run for the White House in 2008.

The conservative talk radio hosts and conservatives in the blogosphere immediately saw the article for what it was – an attack on the Republican presidential nominee by the liberal media in an effort to help the Democrats. The article was so poorly researched and written that other newspapers not only decided not to run it, but spoke out against the piece.

As we move toward the convention John McCain will likely see the number of news organizations that were once his allies grow by leaps and bounds - all in an effort to keep the public eye off of Obama and Clinton and their liberal tax and spend policies.
